This policy explains how VDHOSTS INTERNET PRIVATE LIMITED ("VD Hosts") communicates by email, SMS, phone and WhatsApp, and the standards we follow.
1. Types of messages
- Transactional and service messages: replies to your enquiry, verification codes, account approvals, invoices, project updates and security notices. These are necessary to provide the service you asked for.
- Marketing messages: news, insights and offers. We send these only with your consent, or to existing clients where the law permits, and you can opt out at any time.
2. Our standards
- We do not buy or rent email or phone lists, and we do not send unsolicited bulk messages.
- Every email identifies VD Hosts and our postal address, uses honest subject lines, and every marketing email contains a working unsubscribe link that we honour promptly (and in any case within 10 business days, as the US CAN-SPAM Act requires).
- We send WhatsApp messages only through the official WhatsApp Business Platform, to people who have given consent, using approved templates where required, in line with the WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy. Replying STOP opts you out; replying START opts you back in.
- In India, promotional SMS and calls follow the Telecom Commercial Communications Customer Preference Regulations, 2018 (TCCCPR), including registered headers and templates and respect for the National Customer Preference Register (DND).
- For recipients in the United States, we do not make automated marketing calls or texts without the prior express written consent required by the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).
- Consent records, including the time and the wording shown, are kept as required by the DPDP Act 2023.
3. Opting out
Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, reply STOP on WhatsApp, or write to contact@vdhosts.com. Opting out of marketing does not stop service messages that are necessary for an active account or engagement.
4. Reporting spam
If you receive a message claiming to be from VD Hosts that you think is spam or a scam, please forward it to info@vdhosts.com. We never ask for passwords, OTPs or payments to new bank accounts by message.
